Haven't beat the game yet, but as far as I know, you can't catch Shaymin or Darkrai in PLA unless you have SwSh and BDSM, which means they're locked behind an extra two games. Doesn't really count as completing the Pokédex without them imo.

There are still version exclusives that require you to trade. And if you want to include mythicals, its currently impossible to complete most dexes because most mythical events arent running right now

Dexit caused a civil war and neither side wants to back down, but the side who were against dexit has splintered into groups who are either too weak to fight their addiction and bought PLA, and then there's another splinter that wants to believe that just because there's a few actually improved animations, it somehow justifies dexit since teh animation thing "isn't a lie anymore"

Game counts it as completed pokedex without them. Mythicals was never counted towards Pokédex completing.

Dexit will save the franchise, the precedent is already there with legends being the best game since bw2. Dexit is what the franchise needed to finally improve. When theyre not worried about somehow fitting 800 shitmons into the game theyre finally able to improve it in other areas

I get that, but it's not really complete then. The game just lets you go on as if it were without it actually being completed. Having Darkrai be obtainable but not being able to get it without throwing 60 bucks at a rushed shit remaster is just as bad as what the other games do.

Except its not, first off, the game doesnt count them to dex completetion so theres no requirement to have them. And you can easily borrow or rent the game and play it for a day then return it. This is significantly better than the previous games mythicals being completely unobtainable

Oh for sure, SwShit would have been trash with or without Dexit, but Dexit made a huge wave and caused people to finally start scrutinizing the quality of the games for the first time when previously the only thing people ever argued about was weather or not the new pokemon had good designs or not. People who didn't oppose the dex cut doubled down on insisting that nothing was wrong with the games, and some even celebrated mediocrity and some even rejoiced over cut content in a bizzare way to "own the toxic complainers"

Dexit was not the reason for SwSh quality but it started something big.

You're completely missing the point of Battle Facilities and how they are different from set challenges like Elite 4+Champion.

This is what happens when Masuda and Ohmori aren't actively holding the franchise back. They legitimately need to go, and maybe we'll start getting some consistent, good quality games again.
