Wasn't the whole thing with Stantler that "every pokemon is someone's favorite" so the dexcut was bad. The dexcut wasn't reversed and there's no sign as of now of them adding every pokemon back in a new game.

Which has even less pokemon than SwSh did. I don't mind Legends having a small regional dex for its small areas and lack of multiplayer but Mainline games really should focus on including as many as possible, even if that means fewer new pokemon

The games are still fundamentally identical to Red and Green, games from 1996 based on JRPGs from the 80's, no matter how much they try to innovate, The core gameplay still centers around battling and capturing Pokemon, all they did was remove PvP from the equation.
You've been arguing about games founded on standards from over 40 years ago since /vp/ was conceived in 2010.

It's not about it innovating though. It's about the games having objectively less content than nearly every Pokemon game. I don't care if it doesn't have a PvP, but it should at least have some sort of multi-player and there is no defending this fact.

First, these number are bullshit.
Second, this also completely ignores how painfully slow most of the other games play, where you just keep mashing A repeatedly to go from prompt to prompt. As well as having to endure over a thousand slow ass battle transitions. It honestly feels painful to play other mainline Pokemon games after Legends on that fact alone.

I don't know how many hours it takes to finish BDSP but I'm sure a good chunk of that time is wasted in those slow as shit battles, I complained about the slowness of Pokémon battles before but holy shit that game takes it to a new level
