Meanwhile Typhlosion trades a little bit of speed for a great power increase and a truly broken signature move (Scald and Hex combined) while Samurott fixes its terrible speed and gets a fantastic complementary typing. Will Owlcucks ever catch a break?

its sig is pretty good. Usually gives you an extra turn. Sig + Whatever usually kills nearly anything due to the lowering defence and high chance for crits. Sig also has low enough damage to be used for captures.

Some moves, like bulldoze, makes the opponent act a bit later. I'm pretty sure there must be something like a hidden ATB bar.

Some moves just have hidden speed modifiers attached to them. I know for a fact flinch moves like Rock Slide slow the target and Hyper Beam/ Giga Impact slow the user.

whenever i use it i usually get one. and i almost always get one using agile style sig. Sig/Agile sig + Brave Bird/Leaf blade wrecks house. It was my primary win con.

This thing is just gonna be SAD in the classic battle system. And typhlosion might actually be okay cause it gets stab shadow ball and stronger hex with a chance to burn.
Samurott is an interesting case because it’s weaker than comparably Pokémon like crawdaunt, but also much faster. It has a semi-decent speed tier.
