Half of the people who have "standards" either have shit taste or think budget is all there is to game development.
Frankly I'm happy these games are even playable, let alone one of the most fun I've had with Pokemon in years.
This could've easily gone south and become a Sonic 06 style dumpter fire that would've tanished the Pokemon name for years to come.
Do they look the best? No, not even by Switch standards. But you know what? Who cares? Some of my favorite games I've played over the years have been pixel and polygon based, so a few rough textures here and there isn't gonna bother me.
