That's not a consensus, that's just you ignoring people because they disagree with your opinion. But, among those who dislike gen 5, there are many who will also agree that X/Y had several aspects that were bad, or at least subpar, and were in fact worse games than gen 5.
This means that there are more people who agree that X/Y was bad than there are who agree that gen 5 was bad. THAT is what it means to have a consensus.
