Better idea: a special Rock-type move with decent BP (75 or higher) and doesn't require a turn to charge without a Power Herb.

Even better idea: do the above and give Aurorus Power Gem for fucks sake.

The name obviously screams physical.

Why not make Stone Edge be either physical or special depending on which attacking stat is higher like it is with Shell Side Arm and Photon Geyser?

Eh. Rock Throw, Rock Slide, Ancient Power, and Power Gem all involve getting hit by physical objects, but the latter two are Special for reasons unexplained.

Rock Throw and Rock Slide rely on the physical strength of the user, while Ancient Power and Power Gem really on elemental power/aura/psyche or whatever the special stats represent.
