>>49588533It was a weird time waiting for Gen 2 remakes to be confirmed. Nowadays gen remakes are pretty much just considered inevitable, but the gap in time between the Kanto gba remakes and these felt like an eternity. I was a bit worried that they wouldn't happen, and it didn't help that a popular FR/LG hack which was attempting their own remake stopped being updated pretty far from the finish line.
These were basically just what I wanted them to be. Great remakes of some very important and ambitious games. I don't know what they were thinking with their newly-added Safari Zone though... bafflingly convoluted and an insane time-commitment to get things.
