Arceus is only a creator deity that isn't terribly involved in the daily lives of people so it's not very important in many peoples lives to worship or acknowledge it's existence.

It's easy to apply the christian cultural lens to arceus but the original creators are applying a shintoist/buddhist lens to the worship of Arceus.
