I didn't expect the movement with these things to be so fun. I've gotten a lot of utility out of Wyrdeer too getting to pockets of the maps early.

Great reinterpretation of what HMs started with pretty much none of those old drawbacks.

I can understand that, if Braviary could just fly around then Ursaluna would be the only other ride mon you'd ever use.
That said, I wish its sprint didn't make you descend, having to land-fly-land-fly-land-fly whenever going somewhere is a bit tedious.

They still have the stupid seats/mounts though. Why couldn't they have a normal saddle for Wyrdeer instead of a fucking chair with a seatback on it? Same with the chair and handlebars on Basculegion. Am I riding a pokemon or a bike? At least Sneasler has that meme basket backpack, which is pretty funny. Then for Braviary we're back to stupid again with a hang glider that has a cot on it. Was it so hard to actually get to ride a bird? Actually the answer is probably yes since they would have slapped a chair on it too if they went that route. Ugh.

Whoever this team is, I like them. Lets go was such a good game looking back. It would have been way better if the higher ups hadn't shoehorned pokemon go in it like they did. Arceus catching mechanics seemed like a great evolution to the system lets go gave us. I really want this same team to give us a lets go Johto game next or even a Legends Rayquaza or something.

yeah those original characters are technically there as shoehorned extradimensional side-characters but that doesn't help and might even make it worse

Idiot kanto isnt getting special treatment because other regions get the same shit. 1 one off mention is nothing. Alola ridemons were mentioned, the whole galaxy expedition is basically a shill group for Galar who have had dynamax energy and pokeballs for a while. Hoenn gets mentions as well, johto, kalos and unova got regionals

I liked the ride outfit in sum/moon to the point I'd purposely try to get into trainer battles while riding so I could see the outfit being used in the battle itself.
