I only just beat kleavor but i've been having fun so far.
GF was never going to make the replayable challenging battle sim adventure ever again so changing the formula and innovating for the first time in nearly 30 years is a good thing. Pretty much every pokemon game was just adding shit onto the frame of the originals, and eventually it seemed like the additions had no regard for if it actually made the game better (classic feature bloat).
If GF won't make games that improve on the originals i'd much rather stuff like PLA that doesn't try to be them.
