Despite the fact that I hated XY, I think ORAS was the saving grace of gen 6.

I think my favorite thing was the redesigns for the human characters, and I know HGSS did that too, but it made me realize recently how sparse BDSP are in comparison; because they don't even bother updating any of the character designs.

2011-2022 was the dark age of Pokemon. There might be some good mainline games that released in those years, but the mainline titles were polarizing at best and just terrible at worst culminating in the absolute rock bottom state that SWSH put the franchise in.

I stopped playing ORAS faster than I stopped playing any game in the series, I caught Deoxys and was done with it. No trainer customization is a dealbreaker and too much power level wankery and gift mons.
