Customisation isn’t side content, it’s customisation
Amie + Mini games are side content, but certainly nothing to write home about
Berry farming has been in every game since Gen 3, except Gen 5 where they added actual side content with an entire website
Super training is QoL, not side content
All of these optional battles are just a way to grind exp, serve the same purpose as a rare candy essentially
Friend Safari is side content but requires you to add a bunch of randoms from the internet to be viable
You don’t mention it but the post game can be summarised by “looker quest and mewtwo + bird” oh and that Zygarde thing we won’t bother with until next Gen
