I wanted a real Kanto remake. Kanto reimagined and remade from the ground up on a scale like Sinnoh in PLA, and with Johto postgame. Not this barebones 1:1 shit with Game Boy maps and kiddo chibi artstyle.

I tried playing the game only catching the 5 members for my team and by Lavender Town I was so underlevelled I had to go back and catch loads of Pokémon because trainers barely gave out any EXP. I hate that they balanced this game around catching wild Pokémon.

I played Let's Go Pikachu with my roomates every day after I got home from work. We all took turns catching, naming and battling our mons. And we never got lost because I had practically memorized the map as a kid.

Genuinely the best Pokémon game experience I ever had since Ruby. It's kino for me.

The freedom of this game was really refreshing after years of linear Pokemon games. I just wish it hadn't been set in Kanto so I didn't know everything about the region already.
