This one thing bothers me about PLA. One of his largest achievements was creating the first dex. So either the records of pokemon or pokedex's compiled during PLA were all destroyed or lost and no knowledge of them existed by the time Oak "invented" it, or Oak is a fraud who profited off another man's idea as if it were his own.

The only thing he could honestly take credit for is making the first electronic dex, and he would deserve the credit for it, but the intellectual property of the pokedex was not his originally.

Like I said, maybe no records exist from when PLA was supposed to take place,(I have no idea how many years PLA is supposed to take place before red, I'm assuming 100 or more, but idk) but how did he come up with the same name for it? Oak had to of known about pokedexes before he "invented" them. Or its just a massive plot hole.
