The size values are the same ones used in GO and LGPE, which are retained in Home and SWSH/BDSP. They would only appear normal if sent to those game, but they would not actually be normal.

This is literally factually incorrect. Placing a Large/Small Pokémon from LGPE into HOME and then into SWSH reverts the Large/Small mon into a normal one, even when placed back into HOME.

I'm pretty sure that SWSH pokemon have the size variable, but it was unused in that game.
Did gamefuck really force those to a default value?
I wonder if they were going to have size variation but then scrapped it and did that.

They can't because size affects weight and it would fuck too much with weight-based moves like Low Kick and Heavy Slam. Unless they just remove weight-based moves entirely in favor of size divergence.

It's not even unused. The Pokemon data structure just outright has a size variable that's used in LGPE, Go, and Home. For whatever reason, SWSH just resets it to default. Most likely an oversight that happened due to LGPE and SWSH being developed simultaneously.
