Seriously the cutscenes in this game are fucking awful. Finish a mission and you get a cutscene, followed by a walk to the commander who gives you a cutscene, followed by a cutscene of your characters eating, followed by the next cutscene with the commander again, then you leave the building and run into another character who gives a cutscene, then you finally go out into the field and get another cutscene.

And just when you think one cutscene is about to end, another character appears out of nowhere to keep it going.

Shut the fuck up and let me play.

Weclome to nuPokémon. The games have included more and more unskippable dialogue every generation. Personally it started to become a detriment for me in gen V, and became extremely obnoxious in gen VII.

Who said this though? I can think of people who said they don't like end of the world Pokemon plotlines, but I can't remember any criticisms of, "Pokemon needs a more intricate story!".

If Ohmori is going to be the Gen 9 director, we'll probably have far more cutscenes. The silver lining is that they'll likely keep the combat system of PLA and add more moves and Pokemon than PLA.
