PLA has quick and seamless overworld catching and battling. Emerald, Platinum, and HGSS have running through grass for random encounters, one at a time until you get what you want.
PLA has far better interactions with Pokemon in the overworld compared to those three.
PLA has no bullshit text that slows down battles even more like "Pokemon is exerting its Pressure!" or "Pokémon is buffeted by the Hail!"
PLA has fantastic QoL like being able to change moves whenever I want.
PLA's 3D surpasses the 2D of those games.

PLA has great animations like how Aura Sphere looks, Samurott uses its sword better than it did in past games, even some pokemon look good while levitating like Alakazam while Wingull and Salamence looked like trash before.
