Its not about having a new/better pokemon. its about the sheer audacity of validating the genies as anything more than throwaway shitmon. These things were so universally unliked GF HAD to go back and turn them into therions just to appease the masses.

Look, I don’t like Gen 5. It’s my least favorite and I think the genies are ugly personally. We’re on the same team.
