It was a prime opportunity to fix a lot of design issues with the original and even Platinum, but for some reason ILCA was denied any creative freedom and was just told to copy and paste what was on the DS version. Fortunately, the foundation was solid enough for the game not to fall apart and for it just to feel like an upscaled port. PLA's release makes it look so much worse than it really is.
