Psychic humans have existed in Pokemon since generation 1. They have shown up in the anime, movies and even spinoffs.
How come we never get to play as a psychic trainer? It could be fun

I really like how psychic trainers in gen 1 and LGPE look like they're wearing lab coats, like it may be uncommon, but it's still a known and somewhat normal thing with its own institutions and it's treated like a science

Being psychic doesn't mean you're a big world changing celeb in the Pokemon world
I like to imagine a Pokemon game with a class system where you can play different rolls in the setting, but I don't think the games would work it well

Could work if it was something that changed starting area or maybe how easy certain pokemon would be caught/trained. Psychics having a bigger affiliation with psychic pokemon but can't raise darks or bugs for squat.

I'd like to imagine most humans in the pokemon world are psychic type. It'd be the reason why we can see them being hit by ghost type moves and would explain how they're the only creatures (besides Oranguru which is another psychic- type of humanoid) that command other species.

The protagonist IS psychic. That's how you know what pokémon the other trainer will take out next and why you are so good with pokémon. You are an empath, other characters always point it how the player is so understanding and easy to "talk" to despite using few words.

These are the only aberrant humans I know of. And dont tell me that Fighting type type humans dont exist, how the hell else can Bea spar with the fucking Machamp line? And certain bloodlines are more in-tune with Dragon pokemon, since it seems to literally be genetic I assume they’re part dragon themselves

Itd be fun to have a spinoff game where you choose to either be a Black Belt or a Psychic at the start of the game, and your “professor” is either your martial arts master or a master psychic like Sabrina.
