>>49606266Changing Lusamine's character completely breaks the originally narrative. If the Ultra Recon Squad is working for her, then she doesn't need to sacrifice Nebby to make a wormhole. If she's just trying to "save the world" then the story of her kids running from abuse no longer works. Her issues with Lillie are dealt with off-screen, and she just goes back to being a normal person by the end. Lillie's arc basically doesn't exist anymore, because there was no trauma to overcome. It's like they wanted to make Lusamine into an anti-hero or something, but they didn't bother to change the rest of the story to accommodate that.
