Like, yeah, we call Geodude a Kanto Pokemon because they were released as generations per game... But this was back when, "Only 151 have been discovered!" in the 90's that has since been retconned to Sinnoh being aware of Kanto trainers in the distant past. Speaking logically for the world, a Geodude is really a multi-regional Pokemon since he's just a floating rock that can be found all over the world.
