>>49615520>game needs a lot more caves/hidden off areas, more complex ones tooI was pleasantly surprised exploring Alabaster Icelands because I could've sworn I saw people shitting on it but then I find tons of holes in the ground encased in ice that have tunnels and caves. Probably the best area for me on that basis alone. Of course, they aren't that complex, but they're pretty atmospheric like the one with Alpha Froslass. H-Zorua being an exploration reward was a good idea too. Game needed a LOT more of this. I know Coronet Highlands is decent with this as well but the story kind of forces you to go through all of them anyway. (At least I found the one with the Bastiodon/Rampardos fossils on my own and was surprised)
>quests feel incredibly insignificantI guess there's ones like the Alolan Vulpix and Shiny Ponyta one but otherwise you don't get all that much from them. I still (mostly) enjoy the dialogue and amusing characters but they could use more incentives. Still haven't done all of them though.
>space-time distortions in generalI understand why they exist, and I understand why it'd be silly to have some of the Pokémon there roaming the wild, but they not only already take a while to spawn, but you're not even guaranteed to see those Pokémon spawn in one, making you wait even longer.
A bigger issue I have is that it takes until Coronet Highlands' distortions for you to be able to get Shieldon/Cranidos. Why did it have to be all the way until that point? This is kind of an issue the game has in general. The early game Pokémon availability is still fantastic but it could've been better.
