So is pla worth getting? Already feel duped for buying bdsp, dropped it after the first gym. Swsh was a little less than mid but worth one playthrough. My favorite gens are 1-3

There's almost no trainer battles or PVP. You run around an open world exploring biomes and catching pokemon. It certainly sounds and feels repetitive, but oddly enough, I had fun with it just exploring around. It definitely looks and feels like it was made for the Pokemon Go audience.

I beat the main story last night with about 48 hours of playtime. The game is really fun to play but it looks like absolute dogshit. For me, personally, it was worth buying.

I've played every single mainline game and Brilliant Diamond is the only Pokémon game I've dropped so far. Then I picked up PLA expecting absolutely nothing of it and I ended up clocking 100 hours already.
It's the only good modern Pokémon game for genuine non-autistic reasons, you'll probably like it. Completely worth emulating it at the very least.

Not op, but does mon choice matter in the game at all? It sounds like ypu don't even use your mons save for a dozen or so battles.

honestly no. theres nothing to do after catching arceus unless you want to watch a magikarp use splash 100 times to fill the dex.

I played ot for like 6 hours total before losing interest. I recomend you just pirate since there's no worthwhile online. Its an incredibly boring and repetitive slog of fetch quests that propel you along a main story that barely has any pokemon battles and is more dialog- heavy than unova.

Not really. Most pokemon have a speedy move to abuse (starters all start eith quick-attack) and there are so few battles that you'll be overleveled due to catch exp and candy
