Yeah this, it seems like they're porting a feature from other media (it's on Go, has been mentioned in the anime for instance) into the mainline games themselves.

I wonder what's gonna happen to the Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist alternate forms though. Are they just gonna stop being a thing?
