I saw a chart awhile ago stating which Pokémon look the most like Digimon according to "science". And it was a load of bullshit

Truth is the ones that look the most like digimon are gen 1 monster egg group pokemon, and outliers like aerodactyl.

They were inspired by the same source but were implement differently

Raising a hatchling blorp into competent kaiju who can funciton on it's own. Also it's made by bandai and some kaiju were directly adapted into digimon
