Why are animals weak to ghosts?

Instead of Beast type, call it Balance type and then you don't have to justify its strengths and weaknesses with any sort of logic and can just use it to make certain types more or less effective

I kind of agree? Or at least Game Freak needs to do a massive type rebalancing. Surely there are one or two people at Nintendo they could hire that would competently and intelligently change the types in such a way that the spirit of each type remains while keeping them relatively balanced.

Obviously perfect balance is impossible, but it sure as shit couldn't be worse than whatever the fuck is going on with Grass and Ice.

There are already way too many water types compared to any other type besides Flying. We don't need to multiply that number by 1.5x by merging them with Ice type.
