Not trying to bait, but I do think the gen 5 sprites aren't aging too well for me.
Before I thought they were neat, but now with their strange looped animations I think they look kind of odd. I was looking at Palkia's sprites today and it has this really cool pose in Platinum and HGSS but it gen 5 it looks dumb. I would rather have the static sprites with cool poses that came before or the 3D models that came after.

And it's not like GF didn't have the resources to make them look good, but they didn't bother, pixelated messes the whole way through.
Static sprites looked the best in pokemon, maybe with a short animation at the start like many gens.
Not like 3d looked good until >>49628248

They're my favorite non remake games and even I have to admit that the animations look like absolute trash. Even the overworld stuff looked bad. You ever get that thing where you see an NPC, move one pixel closer to them, and their eyes change shape into horror movie territory? 3D is, and always has been, a mistake.

Dont get me wrong, I dont hate gen 5 and they had a lot of great content and fun stuff to do, but the battles and most of the overworld have always looked really bad. It aint fuckin discord saying this shit either I was saying the games look bad long before their raids. All johto fans do need to accept their games flaws but so do unova fans. They will never admit anything and go straight to histerics calling you a discord raiding tranny, at least johto fags will actually attempt to argue with you in good faith and not just screech and throw feces.
