Hey, the second one is in the actual tournament rules. It's not like a quad is going do to much at Master Class anyways. Lance's Gyarados was eating Thunder Punches left and right at one point.

Leon's Charizard almost lost to Lance's Gyarados, a Gyarados that was no match for Lance's starter, Dragonite.
In the anime, Leon isn't even the first champion to be called "unbeatable", that would be Lance.
