A water-type dog would be cool. I thought I'd have liked a Grass-type bird but Decidueye turned out to be a monkey's paw.

I don't care what they're based off, I just want a Grass or Water starter good enough to make me want to pick it, instead of defaulting to Fire type as the other two are dogshit (only Primarina's broken that streak).

I always loved the fact that is has a psyduck bill, pickachu stripes and bidoof cheeks. When the platypus was found irl scientists thought it was a joke taxedermy of different animals, so even if it wasn't intentional its nice that is has qualities of 3 other common pokemon
