this is an interesting point.
in one hand Nintendo has been kinda pro-mexico since the switch was launched with both, Animal Crossing and Mario having some focus on Mexican culture, something Mexicans (the real deal) highly praised
on the other hand, Chicanos and Twittertards got incredibly assblasted with such additions and called Nintendo shit for keeping "stereotypes"
I'm ok if they do it just to get more cute little Ajolotitos, or Quetzales, maybe proper Armadillos or "pejelagartos".

There's plenty of paranormal activity, and UFO sightings in Mexico, maybe that could be a good base for the story, but I highly doubt GF would go that route
