I’ve always thought that Explorers has aged well enough to not necessitate a remake, especially when RTDX kind of fucked up dungeon generation

I think the biggest issues of Explorers are:
>Time and Darkness’ version exclusive items
Completely fixed in Sky as it has all the items from both versions
>Storage being an objective downgrade from Rescue Team
Legitimate issue still, especially since there’s not enough storage space to even hold at least one of each item, recycling in Sky does help clear out space but the storage system is still flawed
>Aegis Cave
This gimmick needs to die completely, worst part of the Explorers games by far

RRT had a lot of nagging issues that justified a remake.
EoS has a lot of QoL improvements over the original games and still plays fine today there is no reason for this.

Speaking of Explorers, why does nobody on youtube really play it compared to RT? It’s always Purity Forest this, Purity Forest that, the only person who seems to do Explorers stuff is a japanese guy called joyjoymax

It's actually the reverse. Rescue team aged extremelly well and the remake is shit. Removed friend areas, ruined iconic dungeons and I honestly can't think of any wortwhile QoL shit in the remake
Explorers on the other hand, there's already no friend areas to ruin, dungeons aren't as iconic as purity forest AND most importantly: unlike rescue team, you CAN'T change leaders inside a dungeon.
Explorers would actually benefit from a remake unlike rescue team
