This franchise has finally reached poor fangame tier. These designs, this game's visual presentation, if it weren't for being a 3D game I'd fully expect to find this game on a PokeCommunity thread or DeviantArt page.
What happened to this franchise? What happened to its visual identity?

the fire alligator is the first good ire starter we've got in 4 gens but other than that you're correct. new games do have the benefit of doing away with the singular battle screen though, actually battling in the overworld will be a welcome change. shame that like swsh the small genuinely nice qol features the game introduces will be weighed down by infinite dogshit

GameFreak's been obsessed with reinventing the wheel ever since reaching the Switch era despite having peaked in a style that says "Pokemon" with their first attempt in LGPE.
No games actually resemble each other beyond the creatures themselves, and SV adds to this trend.

My friend, this is the fate of huge franchises. Soul will be sucked out and replaced with the soulless ideas of business men. It happens without fail and especially to beloved childhood franchises.

But guess what? Pokemon fans at least have an avenue other game franchises struck by this plague dont. It's called romhacks. Embrace them.
