But if you go into /padt/ and actually look at these "criticisms," you'll notice more than half just so happen to include "he should've been a girl." These "criticisms" could be beautifully, eloquently written argumentative essays, but the authors just have to ruin it by adding it "also, he should've been a girl" at the end. By inputting that, the critics are implicitly admitting that had Gou been a girl, they would've overlooked his supposed flaws, just like they do with previous—female—companions. The truth is, they just want to coom, and they also want to self-insert as Ash and imagine him (themselves) getting with the girl.
Detractors will respond to me saying I'm wrong, but simply going into the nyafuu archives and searching up "Goh girl" will bring up over 300+ results. "Gou girl" adds another 350+, and I'm not even going to bother with "Go girl."
