Will Legends Arceus get any proper DLC in the future, or is it truly being abandoned in favor of Gamefreak going all-out for SV?

My girlfriend seems really insistent that Gamefreak is very much capable of investing into both projects simultaneously, and has no worries that PLA will get DLC that adds new mons (though she's skeptical of the idea of a new area being added due to code limitations) despite the announcement of Gen 9 being released this year.
