Grass is cute and looks like a Pokemon. Fire is dumb and ugly but has potential. Duck looks like a Queer and has a terminal case of humanmon syndrome.

Grass is cute, like rockruff or lilipup. Excited for its evos. Fire is cool, has the only real unique design. Duck is a bit uninspired. I don't hate it but I expect it to be cool in its last form

"Water duck" is boring design space we've already explored like twice. But I do like the hair.

"Grass cat" is a interesting concept, but they didn't do anything interesting with it. Just another poke cay, except green now. Might be saved by evos.

"Fire croc" is a cool idea and I've warmed up do the design a lot. It's a good kind of goofy looking. Gold star.

The gen 8 starters honestly look bland next to the gen 9 starters its almost like Unova starter syndome (sans Serperior) and I say that as someone who considers to Unova to be the best region. Though Pokemon Spain may challenge it.
