>inb4 genwunnerGens 1 and 2 had plenty of shit designs, as does every generation, but at least up until gen 4 the designs were distinctive enough you could tell those were pokemon. Gen 5 had some questionable choices with some overdesigned mon and all those sharp angles but up until 7-8 we were mostly fine. The SwSh starters were the death point, those things look abominable and so do their evolutions, like they gave some indie studio a vague idea of what pokemon is and let them do the designs. These are only marginally better than SwSh but still dogshit.
