Gamefreak will never achieve the true visual fidelity of a 3D Pokemon game. Plastic textures and Bloom will always be ugly.

Unique animations matter. Even PLA is kind of visually boring in the battles. The cut attack pool fucking ruined it.

I still can't believe people sleep on attacks being gutted out. Arguably worse than dexcuts.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'd love it if mainline Pokemon would just stick to 2D and just pretend graphics never got any more sophisticated than Gen 4. At the very least, make it like BDSP, but with more polish like Link's Awakening on Switch.
