If there is no line to how far of a stretch the people making claims can have, then the conflict just ends up being pointless tribalism. Cyndaquil representing the Mouse because it’s a fire Rodent is a big stretch already.
There is also just the spirit of the theory as well.
GameFreak designs the Fire Starters, so why is the pattern dead on for 6 of the 9 starters, and 3 are using “creative liberties”? And why is one of them able to represent multiple animals at once? And there is also the fact that you have to change between First Stage and Third Stage for the pattern as Charmander isn’t a dragon and Typhlosion isn’t a Rodent or how this pattern would have needed to be planned since 1996, when GameFreak wasn’t even sure Pokemon would become the biggest franchise of all time. A pattern that limits their designs to being specifically a dozen animals isn’t a long term business plan.
