>>49795855TL;DR there are random rips in space-time called Ultra Wormholes that allow for interdimentional travel. It also allows you to travel between universes, as the same Anabel from the gen 3 battle frontier appears in gen 8. It's not a rebooted/redesigned character like all the ORAS versions of Maxie/Archie etc, it's the same Anabel because she has amnesia but vaguely remembers the battle tower existing and that she used to work there. It's also possibly implied that Looker from gen 4 fell through a wormhole and that's how he ended up in ORAS with amnesia.
Ingo's circumstance in Legends is the same as both of them (has amnesia, woke up in a new universe/timeline since his last game, faintly remembers his past life, etc) so it's likely he fell through an Ultra Wormhole and not the Space Time rift, since the player doesn't seem to have amnesia and was sent with a purpose, instead of randomly falling through.
