it's gone anon, but at least gen 9 really feels like the start of a new era of pokemon, and here is the thing, i believe someday normies will get tired merely because they'll hear it's gen 11 or 12, and they'll complain about pokemon running out of ideas, once sales go low enough devs will start giving a shit and they'll pull an "everyone is here" marketing campaign, natdex is gone but i don't believe it will be gone forever

pokemon eras aren't that different don't think im praising the game, but they are clearly adding more detail to pokemon models and the artstyle has changed again, i really don't believe they'll go fully open world but map design seems way better than sword and shield and arceus

We're never getting the full roster in a core game ever again. GO at varying intervals maybe, but they've still got awhile since they're only now catching up to Alola Pokemon.
Gen 10 might pull "EVERYONE IS HERE!" as a finale for the Switch to celebrate being the big one, and then Gen 11 will immediately have the excuse of being on a whole new platform GameFreak has to learn all over again as to why they can't have all the Pokemon again despite having modeled and animated ALL of them by modern standards (and also because "modern standards" will be redefined yet again with yet another reinvention of the models and animations).
