Can we have an honest to God civil discussion about what we don't like about these games? Just once, without resorting to buzzwords or wojaks or people screaming about false flags. Let's just have an honest constructive criticism thread about Pokemon Black and White and the things we don't like about it.

I can't think of anything I didn't like honestly. Solid games, definitly an improvement over DP. I do remember wishing we had the run and A button in the bottom screen but HGSS were developed in tamdem so its forgivable

too easy
too linear
spritework and animations look terrible and it's obvious they were rushed
barebones post-game
useless bottom screen bloated with useless connectivity crap

it's an ok game but there's zero reason to play it over anything else.

BW and XY are incredibly similar, yes. But XY is the better game overall thanks to its better graphics, more side features, and better online features.

I played these when they came out and I quit playing pokemon because of how unenjoyable they were. The biggest flaw is the horrible designs and bloated dex. Like 25% of the dex are just rehashes of Kanto mons because they didn't want ANY old mons in the story. Even the starters are a sceptile rehash and another fire/fighting type. The story actually isn't deep, having evil schizo leaders is unironically better story design. The story is very on rails and on a bland, hexagon map that feels unnatural, even Kanto had a more complex region design. The character designs are uglier than every other gen's. Really, it's just BORING.
