I like it. The main character designs got more ugu moe from gen 6 onwards and I'm glad they finally don't look awful. I think they hit rockbottom with swsh and now there's nowhere to go but up. The protags of Scarlet and Violet are both well designed and cute.

They look perfectly fine. My only complaint is the outfits seem so bland compared to previous protags but I am sure the uniforms serve a purpose and we're most likely going to get to customize outfits anyways.

My question is how will any characters from gen 9 make it into Masters or any other Pokemon media when their 3D designs clash with those styles? Redesign the characters for them? But then it's not really the same character that some people might like from the game.
