I know people complain about overlevelling ever since exp share all was introduced but this is crazy
Im at the 3rd badge and my mons are in their 30s while NPCs still use 10s

Why couldnt they stick to Hard model ike in bw2?

I just want to ability to turn off the exp.
Doing Nuzlockes and other challenges to manually increase difficulty is fine, but adding in the tedium of needing to box most of my team every few battles to not overlevel them destroys replayability for me.
Haven't played BDSP but I assume it's still the exact same exp share.

The EXP problem really does color the entire experience. I was reluctant to catch Pokemon in the new Underground because of it too.

There is no argument in good faith for the lack of options to turn it off

You could turn it off in XY and that was the worst implementation of it. There is no scenario where both being on and off leads to a balanced experience. If it's balanced around no share, then don't even include the feature. If it's balanced around share, then share should always be active. Nobody complains about this shit in other games.

The newer games are designed around you catching several Pokemon on each route, then rotating your team a lot. That way your levels remain relatively low while you can complete the pokedex as you go along.

The problem is that most people are used to picking a team of six and only using them, leaving Pokedex completion as a post-game task. So that means they'll end up very over-levelled.
