Gen 7’s starters were based on performers because America is a circuses

Gen 8’s starters were based on British culture (rock and roll, football, spy fiction).

Gen 9’s starters will be based on fiestas and Spanish culture, especially since it’s the first time the country’s language has factored into their name.
