>>49812685Erika: She isn’t the easiest starter to use. Limited coverage options and low attacking stats means she relies on more passive playstyles. However, with fairly high defenses, recovery moves, and access to the powders, she will pull her weight on your team. She’s also extremely valuable at and helping catch Pokémon. She will occasionally fall asleep during battle, but she recovers HP when doing so and can be easily woken with a poke flute.
Misty: Decent stats all around and good coverage option makes her easy to fit into most teams. Also makes a good HM mule due to Surf and Bike Ride. However, she faces competition with the several other water types, her fear of Bug types makes her hard to use in the early segments of the game.
Sabrina: Is in a league of her own. Early access to telekinesis and high offense stats makes her obliterate most foes with a single attack as long as she outspeeds them. The high amount of Poison types in Kanto make her Psychic type even more valuable. She also gets access to Doll Substitute to avoid damage and Recover to heal. Honestly, you could easily solo the entirely of Kanto with just Sabrina.
Sabrina>>>>>>Power Gap>>>God>Misty>Erika
This isn’t to say Erika and Misty are bad, they’re perfectly viable if the player wishes to choose them. They just have the misfortune of having to compete with Sabrina.
