Kalos is right next to PokeSpain, and they all they need to do is connect them with a mountain like Mt Silver.

That's fanmade and is based off of the word "Galar" and a gym signs. If you look at other words in the game it quickly becomes clear that it's just gibberish, and if you don't believe me try translating this

Also OP literally made the map so it's "Veria". If you want to speculate I suggest looking at Latin or Greek words like Kalos was based off of

I chose Veria matching some analysis of the map. In Galar the Galarian writing for some of the info, like the region name, matches the Roman name. So there's a good chance the region name will start with V.

The second character on the map has a single edge on the left side, so it's either < or .

VC seems unlikely so VE is good start. By looking at the margin of the left side and the space left, the name can't have more than 6 characters.

I think it could be Veria (Iberia), Verda (Verdant, to go with the grape/oranges theme), Ventra (Venture, open world etc)....

They retconned it (like a lot of things) to make it more universal and less tied to real world. Like they stopped mentioning real world countries or animals.
Unown is more like an ancient language so found in ruins and stuff
