This is easily the best Pokemon gameplay experience if you play on Normal and Minimal Grinding mode.
>no EV and IV autism
>natures can be changed at any time
>can catch anything whenever you want, zero time investment in getting it "up to speed" in terms of hidden stats
>game is hard but fair and encourages you to constantly switch your team up, but the minimal grinding and dexnav audino on every route makes it easy to do so
>level caps to remind you that if you have to grind to win, you're just bad
>can't use item spam in battle to cheese the enemy
>no free switches
It unironically makes Pokémon a top tier single player RPG and other ROM hacks should implement similar modes.
