I agree anon, its kinda silly how the game feels rushed out and even empty at times, but when it comes to Camp, you can tell they put a lot of effort and love in the interactions and animations.
Pokemon also behave differently depending on their nature and they have a "social score" that you can only increase by camping with them, pure soul.
