And that's all I caj figure, they likely didn't show the entirety of the region yet cause the most exciting stuff is yet to come. We already have what looks like 4 towns and cities, I can easily see this having 12 or 13 by the end, with a lengthy post game area in the Beleatric Islands.

I went full turbo autist on this. Roughly based on the scale of the region on the map and compared roughly to the size of spain using photoshop blend, I figured the rest of the 1 and half squares would indeed extend out to the Belearic Islands and Sea, as well as indeed include the french side of the Andortan Mountain range to some extent. Possible even Algier if gamefreak was feeling funky.
